INTERNSHIP ACTIVITIES AT AEROSPACE ENGINEERING LABORATORIES AT LA SAPIENZA

The Council of Aerospace Engineering of the University of Rome La Sapienza has recently approved a procedure for students to be involved in internship/stage activities in laboratories of Civil and Industrial Engineering Faculty.

There is no economic support offered by Sapienza during the internship period.

Note that to be eligible for an internship, students must fulfill one of the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an Erasmus+ or Erasmus placement program;
  • Be enrolled in an academic institution which currently holds an agreement with La Sapienza ensuring a full insurance coverage (for example, French Universities, as proposer institutions, typically use a uniqueConvention de Stageform including insurance coverage).  If such agreement does not exist or cannot be proposed to us, full insurance coverage should be personally provided.

The following list of laboratories are currently offering internship activities. Next to each lab is the name of the corresponding coordinator. Prospective students interested in an internship/stage activity can contact Francesco Creta indicating their research interests and period of stay.

 If the Learning Agreement (LA) requires changes to the Study Plan, a Study Plan correction form must be submitted. 

The form must clearly specify the changes to be made to the study plan and the CAD staff will update the study plan as required, after verifying the consistency of the changes with the reference Manifesto.  
 
 
In the case of changes to the learning agreement once the student is in the foreign location, the normal time window (November) will be used to modify the study plan.
 

DUAL DEGREE SAPIENZA 

Aerospace CAD has signed agreements with foreign institutes and universities for obtaining a double degree of study

ISAE Tolouse

The multilateral cooperation agreement between Italy and France provides for the possibility, for students of the Master's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering and Space and Astronautics Engineering, to take part in a study program for the acquisition of a double title, that is the title obtained with the Master’s degree in Sapienza and the title issued by ISAE of Toulouse. Superior Technical Institute University of Lisbon

The bilateral agreement with the Istituto Superiore Tecnico (IST) of Lisbon provides for the possibility, for students of the Master's Degree in Aeronautical engineering and Space and Astronautics Engineering, to take part in a study program for the acquisition of a double title, that is the title obtained with the Master's degree in Sapienza and the title of "Mestrado Integrado em Engenharia Aerospacial" of the "Instituto Superiore Tecnico de l'Universidade de Lisboa". MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU)
Student and staff exchange with foreign Universities 

Carleton University (Canada) 

In the framework of the MOU signed between Sapienza and Purdue University it is foreseen the exchange of MS and PhD  students to carry out the Final Study Thesis. Main topic is Space Propulsion. A maximum of three fellowships per year are offered by Sapienza International Office to cover part of travel and living expenses.

The MOU aims at fostering scientific and educational cooperation in the fields of mechanical and aeronautical/aerospace science and engineering. In particular, it promotes exchange of research scholars and students (MS and PhD).Exchange of materials in education and research, academic information and technical assistance are also foreseen.
